Die Dokumentation „Ich will alles. Hildegard Knef“ von Luzia Schmid ist eine filmische Autobiografie über das Leben der legendären Hildegard Knef – Weltstar, Stilikone und Grand Dame des Chansons. Der Film zeichnet ihren Werdegang als Schauspielerin, Sängerin und Autorin nach und beleuchtet sowohl ihre internationalen Erfolge als auch bittere Niederlagen aus fünf Jahrzehnten kreativen Schaffens. Knef, die sich immer wieder neu erfand und trotz zahlreicher Rückschläge unbeirrt ihren Weg ging, wird in dieser Dokumentation als wahre Überlebenskünstlerin porträtiert.
Mit umfangreichem Archivmaterial aus sechs Jahrzehnten entsteht das facettenreiche Bild einer außergewöhnlichen Künstlerin und beeindruckenden Frau, die trotz weltweitem Ruhm und persönlicher Krisen stets Würde und Humor bewahrte. Luzia Schmid zeichnet für Regie und Buch verantwortlich, die Montage übernahm Yana Höhnerbach, während Hajo Schomerus für die Kamera zuständig war. Produziert wurde der Film von zero one film in Koproduktion mit rbb.
Studio Fritz Gnad hat für diese Produktion das Title Design, die typografische Gestaltung sowie zahlreiche animierte Foto- und Presse-Sequenzen erstellt.
Die Dokumentation wurde für die Panorama-Sektion der Berlinale 2025 ausgewählt und für den Berlinale Dokumentarfilmpreis nominiert. Die Uraufführung fand am 16. Februar 2025 im Haus der Berliner Festspiele statt, der Kinostart folgte am 3. April 2025.
