Opera Visuals at Konzert Theater Bern

For director Markus Bothe and Konzert Theater Bern I have done several 3D animations and videomappings to tell the backstories of the different characters that make up Giuseppe Verdi’s “Il Trovatore”. These were projected onto the façades of the stage design by Kathrin Frosch.
All base on the idea that traumata form the protagonists and the way they behave. These nightmarish animations are all “made out of fire” and create an independent narrative plot throughpout the opera.

Oscar Valero has done the underlying character textures and Sophie Sanchez has helped in the aesthetic research.
